'Seems to do all that's required!'
    Strengths:
Light, reasonable componentry, it all worked straight out of the box
    Weaknesses:
Cheap pedals supplied (or not - See below!)
    Overall:
I'm happy with it and would recommend it to a new starter.
I bought it in the USA and shipped it back, unfortunately the dealer forgot to put the front spindle and the (cheap and nasty) pedals in the box. I got a credit from them no problem and bought some Shimano SPD's problem solved!

    'GOOD STARTER BIKE'
    Strengths:
reasonably light weight, reasonable groupset for the price, well built
    Weaknesses:
    uncomfatable saddle, cheapish pedals
    Overall:
A great starter bike in my opinion that is well built and will serve any begginer well whether they want it just for riding to work or for club riding.

Good value for £400 but if you can get an end of year discount like i did it excellant value for money :-D

    'GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY'
    Strengths:
Comes from a good family with the benefits of getting some hand me downs from its more expensive siblings.
    Weaknesses:
Relatively heavy. Guys what do you mean its light? Bit unfair as for its price range is light.
    Overall:
Like Jim I got this at a discount. Well I got it for nothing because the wife bought it!

But she got it on sale from De Ver cycles and the whole package including wheels group set et al was a steal. Superb value for money
