Have now replaced the wheels for a better set. Sora shifter, work but a bit clonky, can get to the second leaver from when down on the drops.
Saddle
I replaced the stock peddles for my clipless and replaced the saddle for my favoite Turbomatic.
| | Overall: I use this bike as a winter hack, training and commuting bike, with it’s triple chain set. It is my third bike along with an M2 road bike and M2 mountain bike. The angles are slightly easier than a full on road racer but there is spacing for mudguards, I use my salmons. There is also provision for a rear rack for comuting and light touring. It is comfortable on long rides and it is my preferred bike for sportive etc. I bought the bike last year so it will be a 2006 bike. I paid £400 for it interest free over 12 months. I don’t think it could be any cheaper and it is great value. I had an audax bike custom built for me some time ago and prefer the ride from the trek. The audax bike ha been sold.
I guess tha package is let down by the wheels, and group set, but it is built at this price it has to be bugget and I guess that when the parts wear out they are replaced with better gear.
I am very happy with mine..... |
