Can Lance Armstrong win the 2009 Tour de France? That's the big question all cycling fans are pondering in the coming days before the grand race gets going on Saturday 4 July.

Well, Ladbrokes are giving Armstrong odds off 9/2 to win an eighth Tour de France title. If you're a betting person, Alberto Contador is probably a safer bet, they're giving him 10/11.

After winning four stages in 2008, it's safe to say Mark Cavendish will be grabbing a few stage wins. They've given him 5/6 to add another four or more stages to his name. And if he won, there's 500/1. More realistic is the green jersey, for which he's 5/6 favourite.

Here's the full list of odds for the 2009 Tour de France winner.

Alberto Contador 10/11
Lance Armstrong 9/2
Andy Schleck 13/2
Cadel Evans 9/1
Denis Menchov 14/1
Carlos Sastre 16/1
Levi Leipheimer 25/1
Frank Schleck 50/1
Michael Rogers 50/1
Robert Gesink 50/1
Roman Kreuziger 50/1
Vincenzo Nibali 50/1

And for the green jersey...

Mark Cavendish 5/6
Oscar Freire 10/3
Thor Hushovd 11/2
Daniele Bennati 13/2
Heinrich Haussler 14/1
Tyler Farrar 20/1
Gerald Ciolek 25/1
Kim Kirchen 25/1
Gert Steegmans 33/1
