EICMA show - Cross and Track bikes

Cross bikes

Along with track bikes they are slowly becoming as important as the road range, they are getting lighter and flasher this year and Colnago's cross C50 is so indulgent - for the mud plugger who has everything...

De Rosa, certainly looks like one of the finest

A closer look, mmm lovely

Belgians do good Crossers... here's Ridley's Crosswind

Colnago's C50 cross

we tested one last year and they still look the part

even more so in full carbon

it's very light and well finished

Track bikes

Like TT bikes everyone has seemed to created a track machine and many carbon rear ends now come in track version so it's easier to make a aluminium track frame. Full monocoques are also all the rage.

The Montello carbone Track. Words fail me

Eddy's carbone ain't bad either

De Rosa's elegant and oversized Merak

Ridley's Damocles Arena is business-like and...

...VO2's carbon track bar. Meaty.

The Guerciotti track

With neat carbon rear end

...San Partrignano also have a handbuilt carbon monocoque
