Pipedream Cycles

pipedream
You probably haven't heard of Pipedream before, and that's because they're a new company. They're British, and their approach is that good technology shouldn't have to cost loads of money, and subsequently they're producing titanium frames affordable by most people.

They have been making a mountain bike frame for a while, but have just released their first road frame. They describe it as '...an aggressive road frame designed for speed'. Here at RCUK that is just up our street.

The £899 frame has compact geometry, double butted tubes throughout and an ovalised down tube, and the tubing for each frame size is tweaked to optimise the ride quality. The headtube is externally butted and the finishing touch is applied, their engraved headbadge.

Pipedream can modify the frame to suit your preferences, for example they'll shave the bottom bracket shell down to the bare minimum if you're after the lightest possible frame. Different tube profiles are available for further personalisation.

We'll be getting one in to test soon so watch this space. Visit the Pipedream Cycles wesbite for more information.
