FIRST LOOK: Trigon

Trigon is a new name on the bike scene, but as the manufacture of frames for several big American and Italian bike brands, they should know how to craft a good product. And it shows. From the pictures we've been sent, the bikes look pretty impressive.

Their speciality is carbon; frames, seatposts, chainsets, chainrings, bottle cages, stems and handlebars. The handlebars are interesting - they're very aero with optional dual cable routing noodles on the underside to keep the lines clean - they'll be available in a number of different widths, while the integrated stem will come in a choice of lengths.

The frame pictured features Trigons own unique blend of carbon fibre, Venus C7. The main tubes are diamond profiled with a sloping top tube. A dual rear wishbone with an Obllix and MonoBox design keeps the rear end vertically stiff, while the carbon forks have an s-bend design. Frame weight is just 990g!

We'll bring you a more in-depth article when we get our hands on some of the Trigon kit.
