It's all go at Rapha. The hip clothing company are enlarging their range to cover all parts of your body.
New Sportwool jersey
We've been living in ours all winter but these are some new designs for summer. Lighter weight fabric and shorter zip. Understated cool. Flock printed mountain logo. Slightly cheaper than the previous jersey at £90, but no armwarmers.
Gloves
Ooo, was the reaction to these new gloves. They are going for comfort and longevity but if you've ever had the chance to feel a pair of hand made, hand tanned gloves you'll know how smooth they feel, these are incredbile. Rapha's Grand Tour glove is made from African Hair Sheep leather and has sniper padding (used by riflemen) in the palm for a compact pad that will last. They are lovely and will set you back £80. The Criterium glove is a little cheaper but no worse in quality and has a towelling wipe back. As with all Rapha stuff the details are second to none and the quality is superb.
They've also got new socks made from 100% Merino wool, an emergency gilet that packs down into a fag packet (nearly!). Also coming is some new armwarmers, an undervest, caps to match the new jerseys (shown in pic. below) and some very nice looking bib shorts too...
