Sub 40g mini-pump from SKS at IceBike

Madison's Ice Bike show was the ideal opportunity for the company's many brands to show off their latest wares. Inflation and mudguard specialists SKS had several interesting novelties including what must be the lightest hand pump we have seen.

Using their own Thin Skin technology, SKS have managed to reduce the weight of the Sub 40 road mini pump to a stunning 39g without a significant reduction in performance. SKS claim that it is capable of reaching 144psi; we tried it on an already inflated tyre and can confirm that it not only did not let any air out, as do many pumps of its size, but actually got some in. Whether it will reach the claimed pressure will have to wait a more thorough test.

It's available in black or white, is 200mm long for stowing and is priced at £29.99
