Specialized Arm and Kneewarmers

Specialized (£19.99) Arm and (£19.99) Kneewarmers

The weather never ceases to amaze me. [Me neither - Ed.] As soon as I'm getting settled into the routine of pulling on tights and three layers of long sleeve clothing everyday, the weather goes and throws a curve ball and suddenly I'm overdressed.

It's exactly for occasions like these that a pair of arm and kneewarmers become ideal, allowing you to dress down a little while still covering the vital part of your limbs. Specialized's offerings are made from Super Roubaix material - plenty has been written about the advantages of this material in previous reviews - but suffice to say it's super comfy and warm.

The kneewarmers proved a good, if snug, fit, and articulation is good, in part helped by the pre-shaping. Wide gripper tape kept the knees in place, but the same can't be said of the armwarmers, which developed a tendency to occasionally make the journey south down the arm. Some stickier gripper tape would help here.[Or beefier arms - Ed.]

Verdict

These arm and kneewarmers can be worn a lot throughout the year, as the thin material doesn't get too warm, unlike the Solo's tested recently. They've also pitched the price just right.

good Comfortable, warm, thinness ensures year round versatility

bad Armwarmers tended to slip too easily
