Specialized Pro Vado Long Sleeve Jersey £49.99
The Pro Vado is one of those garments that, due to its versatility, occupies a priority position in the drawer containing all my cycling kit, bridging as it does the gap between summer and winter.
What makes the Pro Vada a good multi-purpose garment is the Hydro Fit fabric, a micro-weave polyester with fleece lining. It's well appointed too, with three rear pockets, sticky gripper tape around the elasticated waist to prevent riding up, full-length zipper, tall collar and elasticated cuffs. The styling is smart and understated, with red and white detailing, with just two small logos front and rear.
It's described as being for “those winter rides or chilly mornings,” which just about sums it up perfectly. And coming from the company that introduced the world to Body Geometry, it's no surprise that the fit is bordering on perfect. Snug with just enough looseness designed in.
