Rapha's redesigned Lightweight Softshell
When Rapha launched its new winter range recently, it did so with the new Lightweight Softshell. It's based on the original Softshell jacket, but with a new fabric and a few less features, is much lighter, making it the ideal jacket for changeable conditions.
The jacket uses a Hytel membrane, 100% windproof and highly breathable, and with DWR treatment is water resistant. It goes without saying that the jacket is well designed, and the slim fit hugs the body. There's a dropped tail, an offset zip, a raised collar and lyrca cuffs to keep the cold out. And it's not without stowage options: three large pockets with one zipped pocket and neat button-holes and cable loops for your MP3 player.
And the best thing about the jacket has to be the three colours it's available in, olive green, red and pale blue.
