RCUK Bikes Alan Hill's Specialized Roubaix

Hi, I'm Alan Hill and I migrated to Alstonville, Australia, nearly two years ago. I log on to RCUK all the time as I did when living in the UK. For the last three years I've owned and enjoyed my Specialized S-Works Tarmac E5. The roads here are a bit rough in places so now I've got a S-Works Roubaix.

It's a fair bit hilly here so I've got a Shimano compact chainset, which has made a big difference. I ride a lot and at weekends go out with the local cycle club in Ballina. The bike has American Classic 420's wheels which roll like no other wheel I've owned. It has DuraAce 10 speed shifters and brakes, front and rear mechs are Ultegra which all work well, the saddle is a Fizik Arione. It took a long time to find the right saddle.

I have one on both bikes, the bars and stem I got from a friend in the UK. They are carbon and came off his Giant Advance. I am pleased with the Conti 4000 tyres. No punctures in the last 8 months, touch wood, and I am tempted to get the new ones as seen on RCUK. It's been great contacting you and I recommend RCUK to my Aussie cycling friends.

All the best, Alan Hill

I cant get enough of the S-works Roubaix, the roads here in Dubai are all smooth, so its the performance that gets me, its so responsive, so effortless to ride. Specked with Spinergy PBO wheels, this is one sweet ride
