RCUK Bikes Dustine Walker's Nigel Dean

Heres my bike!!! It's a Nigel Dean, purchased second hand last summer, as a seven speed (with screw on freewheel and downtube shifters). I use it as my everyday commuter, a 20 mile round trip, and decided that I didn't need to be wearing out all those gear related components, so took them off. And its now my favourite bike!!!

The steel frame is incredibly comfortable to ride long distances, but in combination with the flex of wheels and bars/ stem makes for white knuckle cornering at speed!! The levers have since been changed to carbon Record levers, and the replacement white bar tape was a bad move as it gets filthy, but aside from that and the speed it gets through chains, I love it!!!

Have you tried fitting an Izumi 1/8in track chain:they're available in regular or super-tough grades.I've had the same regular grade one on my fixed for two years. It uses a simple nut and bolt link for length adjustment.
