World championships - Salzberg

More Podcast stuff from Cycling News and Views and Carlton Reid from BikeBiz.com

The UCI World Road Championships take place 19-24th September in Salzburg. This is Austria's most cycle-friendly city. The city council and regional tourist board want cyclists planning on attending the World Championship to bring their bikes. Here's a five minute video podcast preview of the World Championships.

Check out the footage of the masses of cyclists on one of Salzburg's cycle paths. No need for iTunes or podcast software, there's a direct video link for those that have yet to start getting podcasts. And there's a chance to win a 'bike swag' prize, too, if you know your Mozart...

The video was shot on a press trip held a week or two in Salzburg, Austria, and hosted by the Austrian tourist board. It features Mozart, Samantha from cycling.tv as Julie Andrews in the Sound of Music, the Red Bull aviation museum, footage of hundreds of Salzburg cyclists, forty European cycle journalists and a preview of the road and time trial courses at September's UCI World Road Championships.

There's also news of a mass participation ride tied in with the World Championships.
