FIRST LOOK: Polar CS300

The new CS300 looks great
Polar are fairly instrumental in leading the heart rate monitor (HRM) market, and their new CS300 is another step towards meeting the needs of sports people at every level. First thing you'll notice from the picture, is just how good the CS300 looks, stylish it most definitely is.

But the CS300 isn't all style and no function, far from it. The CS300 combines a HRM, measures your current, average and maximum speed, and with an optional wireless sensor can monitor your cadence. Polar have packed some cool technology into the CS300. For example ZonePointer displays your pre-determined target heart rate zone as a flashing symbol, so you can easily track your progress.

It'll also accurately display how many calories you've burnt, as well as predict your calories consumption, and has enough memory space for recording your last 14 training sessions. Polar go the extra mile though - their website offers CS300 owners an online training service to streamline your training programme.

The CS300 is available now for £124.50. Visit www.polarelectro.co.uk for more information. And watch out for a full test soon as we've got one winging its way to us now...
