It seems tubeless wheelsets are gradually catching on, with Campagnolo having decided to add to the growing momentum by releasing two tubeless road wheelsets in 2009.

Dubbed ‘2-Way Fit’, the Campagnolo rim profile is designed to be compatible with Hutchinson’s tubeless tyres and, in a move to make the transition easier, will also be compatible with standard clincher tyres.

Campagnolo seems confident of tubeless technology’s future in the cycling world, stating “there can be no doubt that tubeless is the future for on-road cycling tire,” on its website.

Wheels available will be the Shamal Ultra2-Way Fit and Eurus 2-Way Fit. The Shamals weigh 1,395g a pair and the Eurus 1,550g.
