Super-stiff bars and stem developed by world's fastest road sprinter
Sleek, protrusion-free lines and beefy construction are the hallmarks of Pro's newly-arrived Mark Cavendish Star Series bar and stem combo, which was on show at Madison's iceBike Winter summer trade show.
Developed in consultation with the Manx Missile, the cockpit assembly comprises a carbon-fibre stem with integrated CNC-machined aluminium front plate and top cap matched with an aluminium handlebar. The stem is offered in three lengths: 105mm, 120mm and 135mm, while the bar, with anatomic bend only, comes in 40cm, 42cm and 44cm widths.
The handlebar centre bulge is ribbed internally for stiffness, which said to be increased by 9percent over the Pro Vibe 7S bar. Unidirectional carbon-fibre construction doubles stem rigidity compared to the Vibe 7S stem.
Prices are £149.99 for the stem and £74.99 for the handlebar.
