As winter approaches (yes I know, I'm still holding out hope for a later burst of summer too) for many thoughts invariably turn towards preparing a steed to handle the duties of winter riding, ready to tackle even the muckiest conditions the British winter can throw our way. With this in mind, Pro-Lite have just released a new frame fit for this purpose.

Built from double butted 7005 aluminium, the Inverno has been designed for winter riding. There are eyelets for rack and guards and enough clearance for up to 28mm tyres. A Corsa Carbon fork should dampen road vibrations through the handlebars, and the glossy paint job looks particularly smart.

And the best bit is that it costs just £299.99, including frame, fork, headset and seatpost. Availability is scheduled for September.
