Perhaps best known in the UK until recently for track components, Italian component manufacturer MIche is steadily building an attractive range of road wheelsets, of which the most intriguing may well be the Race model.

Notable features include bearing adjustment with the wheel in the frame or fork, machined braking surfaces for the medium profile rims and blades spokes that get broader and thinner near the rim, where the aerodynamic advantages of aero spokes are considered to be at their greatest.

The skewers are neatly finished and add a pleasing note to what is an aesthetically satisfying wheel. White and black versions priced at £10 per pair less are also on offer.
