Camelbak Elixir

Portable nutrition in a tube from Camelbak

If Camelbak’s Elixir conjures up a sense of deja vu, it’s because it bears a more than passing resemblance to both Nuun and Zym, which we previewed separately some time ago.

The concept is the same. A handy size tube, here with 12 tablets, makes preparing your hydration bottles considerably less messy – no more spilling white powder all over the boot of your car – and the tube can also be carried with you on longer rides where you might refill your bottles several times. It also has the nice benefit of not making your bottles go all yucky if you don't clean them straight after a ride (not like we ever do...).

Elixir, like Nuun and Zym, is an electrolotye drink – there are no carbs in there, just the essential vitamins, minerals and electrolytes to keep you properly hydrated. We spoke to Camelbak importers Zyro and there are currently no plans as of yet to import Elixir, but here's hoping they change their mind...
