I bought some ITM bar extensions form Dave Hinde. When I received them there was some bolts missing, I phoned them up and they said return the bars and they would replace, which annoyed me a bit because I just wanted the bolts, anyway I returned them at my cost, a few days later I got the same bars back still missing the fixing bolts, once again I rang up and was told without 'asking me what was missing' the bars were complete. The person was very rude and unhelpful. In the end I got in touch with ITM and they supplied the bolts direct to me. I will never use Dave Hinde again and strongly advise anyone else not to. I also reported it to consumer rights at www.direct.gov.uk they said they need more people to complain before they can investigate. So if you have had a bad experience complain.
So Dave, if you are still reading this little forum, what do you say to that?

Could have been Coghill, of course, he could be clever and witty between insults???

I have just purchased a few items from these bunch of clowns(Dave Hinde) ..DO NOT !! EVER NEVER BUY FROM THEM !! unless you want to wait weeks and weeks and have the guy on the phone keep telling you that he has had no time to give you the tracking number for the goods...all they do is obviously take your money  and tell you they have sent items off when they quite clearly have not or cannot get hold of them. I phoned up the other day and they told me oh yes it could take upto 2 weeks to get here ..WHY O WHY DID I BUY FROM THESE CLOWNS ..for 1 or 2 extra quid I could have bought from Ribble cycles whom I have only once had to ask them to cancel order ..but they did pronto..and I have bought from Ribble cycles recently every item has arrived the next day..but DAVE HINDE are the shop from hell. Few years ago  I used to do alot of racing (TimeTrialling) and have used quite a few shops over years for stuff for bike..which I sometimes would need in a few days..but I never used them then..so if you dont mind waiting forever then use them..if you want items quick..FORGET THEM.

My advice is to stick to a shop you trust..even though you may have to pay that bit extra.

I buy my frames from Condor cycles and my bike parts from Ribbles..hope this helps.

A mate of mine totally unaware of their reputation (and i didnt get chance to warn him until after), just bought from No1bikebits, their ebay arm, with no trouble....I still wouldnt touch them with a barge pole. Folk must keep them in business though....

Yeah I know I just got onto them this morning to cancel my order..I asked for the Royal mail tracking number and the guy there gave me some crap about him trying to track the items too but Royal mail couldnt trace them ..he gave me the number I tried and the number doesnt exist at all. I phoned back and he said "oh yes that would explain it " What more can you say about them than if cycling magazines  keep publishing their adds in those mags this is what we have come to.Anyway dont get me started on cycling magazines..I used to buy Cycling weekly everyweek for 15 years until it became a 99% adverts 1% cycle news and racing.. im going before I explode. anyway WARNING **WARNING ** WARNING **DO NOT USE DAVE HINDE CYCLES "" OR NUMBER1BIKEBITS

I am sure Dave Hind's terrible reputation is deserved, luckily I have never bought anything from them. However I fear that other internet based retailers could end up lumped in the poor service category, due to the poor standard of the delivery companies and Royal Mail. Virtually every week I hear about people having things lost in the post despite paying for recorded / special delivery or a courier service. I ordered some bits from wiggle and it took three weeks for them to turn up and I'm sure most of that time was due to package being lost in the vortex of the Royal Mail, as the items were all in stock with Wiggle. The people at Wiggle were very good at trying to locate the parcel unlike Royal Mail.

Yeah, but at least Royal Mail don't tell you to "Go to fuck!" when you phone up to enquire!

Have to say just bought 3 bikes for rental purposes from the chaps and the service bike quality and delivery was great
