Hi All,

Soft-shell jackets/long sleeve jerseys, any opinions? Does anyone wear any and what are they like? Weather is very changeable in scotland (understatement) and I'm looking for something to wear that's breathable and showerproof. Alot of the time I end up wetter on the inside if i put my waterproof on, and its "breathable."

Cheers

Personally, at this time of year if the weather looks iffy I ride bare-armed and carry arm warmers in case the weather turns cold enough to need them. I also carry a sleeveless waterproof; Assos and Bioracer both make them. If it rains, my arms get wet whether or not the armwarmers are also worn, but they keep the body cool so it does not sweat enough to make the inside of the waterproof fill with condensation.

Cheers Richard.

Never really thought of the sleeveless waterproof/arm warmers "combo." I know I'm generalising but what about spring/autumn, do you still wear the "combo" then or something more substantial?
