Hi.

I have a Specialized Allez 05 and would like to upgrade my saddle and seat post to something lighter and more suited to racing. I would like to spend no more than 150 really. Any suggestions anyone?

Paul.

specialized pave seatpost- carbon with zertz damping. 40 quid on www.wiggle.co.uk
It's got pedigree- i think it's used on the 3,600 pound Specialized S-Works Range. Plus, it looks gorgeous.
Saddle- probably a specialized toupe, selle italia SLR or a fizik arione. All are race proven and between 40-90 quid.

Is this the standard Allez we're talking about here ? If so and you're looking to upgrade to save weight then I would suggest spending money in other areas notably wheels rather than saddle and seat post .

Thanks Tom for the useful info. Both look really cool, espcially the white toupe saddle.

i'd always go for black. white gets dirty easy. I know its easy-clean. but I wouldn't buy a white saddle unless I was loaded.

I guess that makes sense really. Cheers Tom.

P.S. Bill, I have upgraded the wheels also. Good old Mavic!
