I got a lovely Rapha base layer for christmas, wore it a couple of times then consigned it to the washing basket where it has remained for months when I realised it was hand wash only. Has anyone washed theirs in the machine or should I hand wash only? It's a nice base layer but I ain't gonna hand wash it every time. Please excuse the domestic nature of this question.

I wash all my kit in the washing machine, hasn't done it any harm. (Including £137 shorts....)

Me too. But does it actually say you shouldn't machine wash F.I.13s? I always do.

Don't worry about it kps, sling 'er in!

IME it's the drying that buggers these sort of clothes. Air dry them rather than putting them in the tumble dryer and you should be fine. It can be a bit scary when you realise that there's over £1k worth of Assos in your washing machine.

I did the same thing until I read the label again and realised it just says -warm wash. wash dark colours separately.

I washed mine in the machine on 40 degrees with other colours - including dark ones - and it was fine.
