I've got both a Sigma BC1600 and BC1200 RDS. I will probably only use the BC1200 for commuting because it's been doing well in all weather since October. The BC1600 is bigger but I'm using it for my good bike. they are interchangeable.

If you don't want wireless then you can get the BC1600 cheaply on eBay at the moment - I got it for £12 and my BC1200+RDS was £30! This is because the new range is out now - you may want to look at it since the top models (1106/1606) now have backlights.

A back light would have been a godsend on the dunwich dynamo last year...

I recently traded in my reliable Cateye for a cheap GPS on eBay, £55 for an iFinder.

And it is fantastic.

It calculates av speed etc etc etc, but I plot my route on digital map and it tells me the way, no more stopping and looking at a map. Now I can go all sorts of interesting routes with no fear of getting lost.

I can't recommend highly enough.
