Carbon Stem - Upgrade

I was thinking of upgrading my stem to a carbon one. I'm currently using a Syntace F-99. It's good but the screws started rusting and it makes a lot of 'eek-eek' sounds whenever I start climbing and pushing the handlebars.

I was looking through the web and found a few nominees:

1) Easton EC90 (Composite) - 130g
2) Easton EC70 (Composite/Alu) - 160g
3) ITM Millenium Carbon (Composite/Ergal)- 145g

I'm not very interested about the weight, but more particular about its quality. Has anyone used the a/m stems? Would be good if someone could give some reviews before I make up my mind. Thanx! :)

Take the stem off and very lightly grease your steerer and handle bars then put it back on tight, this should stop all the eek eeking.

The standard steel bolts always rust. You can buy Ti bolts (they don't rust) but they cost a fortune.
