Why not better visibility?

These Rapha folk are very style conscious. Black is the new black for them at any price. To me there's a certain culpable stupidity when manufacturers produce gear like this, particulalry when its intended for low-light seasons. A bit of reflective piping really doesn't compensate. Definitely a SIDSY top.

They do make white jerseys... and they are very nice fitting etc.

I think there are some colour plans afoot but they do consider these things very carefully...

Style always comes at a cost, in more ways than one.

White is just as useless on a misty morning.

as simon implies dark is better in misty/foggy conditions - although I'm led to believe that deep orange with shed loads of reflective tape is the best all orund

There seems to be a rash of black kit. Take a look at Gore Bike Wear gortex tops.
Most petrol-heads will still say SIDSY even toa floro yellow top.

So...is black the new floro yellow?

Isn't it a short sleeve jersey? Surely you wear it in the summer when it is light and able to be seen?
