Try wrapping your legs with clingfilm then wearing baggies, knowone will notice the lower leg protection, simple.

check out Altura, they do some great baggy waterproof trousers around £40-£50.

I have some and never "looked gay" riding in these!

Worrying about what you look like in the middle of nowhere in crappy weather is extremely gay. And wearing in approriate kit makes you look stupid.
Get what works best and sod the looks.

Fasion is led by people who dont' mind looking stupid.

Tom - get along to your local Raleigh dealer, they have some decent warm kit for not too much dosh, then you can cover em up with whatever you like!

Go for gay, if worried about the cold stick a sock down the front.

Seriously I wear lycra tights and also Ronhills with shorts underneath and I do not have a good figure, it would be if I was 7' 6" tall.
