the ones my girlfriend made for me for a grand total of £1... windstopper fleece and a bit of sewing machine and you're sorted. hell take the material to the old bids at the sewing machine shop local to you and they'll sort you out with a pair for £5.
Assos probably are best but are also likely to cost you.
Coolmax are a good budget buy. Note, they come in different weights from just Lycra, ideal for cool evenings / Spring / now, to 'roubaix' which is fleece lined and so warmer.
Well Yorkshire seems to be against the common myth of 'its grim up north' at the moment...went out on Monday evening from 5.30pm-8.00pm and it was an aveage of over 18c!
It's come together for me over the last couple of weeks. I've finally managed to get out in shorts without feeling a bit nippy. That said I have to judge it whenever I get up - as I've had a couple of rides where I've headed out in shorts only to regret it.
Still wearing the arm & leg warmers in mid may - and even a gillett some days - although today looks good so the legs may get their first airing of the year -
Yeah, after that brief taste of nice weather the summer kit has gone back to the bottom of the drawer. Maybe this weekend will be the turning point though. It'll probably be a nice weekend 'cos i'm out of the country ;-)
