Celebrating the last century and a bit of cycle racing, clothing manufacturer Rapha has put together an exhibition of historic racing machines that showcases the history and development of the racing bicycle.

The 12 road bikes on display include examples from each decade over the last 110 years of cycle racing, running from early 20th century fixed-wheel racers to ultra-modern machines built using the latest carbon technology.

The Rapha Beautiful Machines exhibition is open until 29th July and may be viewed at the Rapha Cycle Club, 146-148 Clerkenwell Road, London, EC1R 5DG. The club is open from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday, 10am to 8 pm on Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday.

Having seen this place that Rapha have .... it becomes obvious why their clothing is so expensive. A rediculous overhead for a company that probably does not have enough stock in the country to fill it (I assume so anyway given they never have any sizes in stock).

So you didn't like it?

Funny they've always had the stuff I wanted in stock when I've been in to buy it. As for filling it, well I could probably fill a shop that size with the cycling clothing, bikes and memorabilia I've got at home. Just a shame it's closing soon. Rediculous indeed.
